I was recently asked to collaborate on a project with the artist Abraham Cruzvillegas, as part of his current exhibition "Autoconstrucion" which is now running at the CCA in Glasgow, and will run until the 8th of November.

His work is truly incredible and I would encourage anyone in Glasgow to check out the show.

For one part of the exhibition, Mr Cruzvillegas asked several local musicians (including Triple School, Yoko, oh no!, Vars of Litchi and myself) to compose music to one of a set of 18 song lyrics, which were recorded over the last month and are now available as a mix CD from the exhibition.

My song, "Ramps", is currently on my player but I would strongly encourage you to seek out the compilation as it is an eclectic and interesting listen with many highlights.

For those not lucky enough to have heard the songs being pumped out into the streets of Glasgow on Abraham's incredible pedal-powered mobile Sound System a week or so back, the CCA will be hosting a marathon concert performance featuring 15 of the 18 featured bands, all of whom will perform their contributed song, on the 11th of October, 2008.

Even if you can't make it to the concert, it is well worth visiting the exhibition and stepping into Mr Cruzvillegas's fascinating world.
