Current mood: focused
SO stoked if you're reading this. We'd like to ask you to be apart of "Above The Golden State". It's always been our prayer to BE the body of Christ and NOT another "thing" or "band" you can buy as entertainment. So we invite you to pray with us for the upcoming album.

Here's a few specifics to pray for:
-Pray for us, that we would never be deceived to "pursue" music, but that we'd always be about pursuing Jesus, and His kingdom/ glory on earth.
-Pray that this album will be HUGE... in the lives of people. Again, that it would turn the gaze of our soul on Christ. Things like songs, lyrics, melody's and instruments.
-Pray that we would have fun, be thankful and do all things in love!

Thank You all!

-Michael, Dean and Jordon

Be sure to check out the "In The Studio" vids!

we will be praying for you... your music helps me to remember that things arent as bad as they seem... and that no matter how bad things are that this life is temporary. Thank you for not losing sight of what is so important and what Christian music is supposed to be about.
It's stuff like this that has led me to abandon the mainstream stuff and replace it all with Christian equivalents. Although some of the mainstream music is fine and clean in its lyrical content, that just doesn't cut it for me anymore. For me, it's the ministry behind Christian bands that holds my attention. It's taking that public stand for Christ (i.e. at a Christian festival) and representing Him to the world. Whether the song is directly about the Lord Himself, faith, battling temptation, or a love/breakup in a relationship, Christian bands just do it best. There's always that hint of hope, healing, redemption, etc. that carries songs through. It's always fun for me to show people the difference between a song like "Gives You Hell" by the All American Rejects and "Share It With Me" by Family Force 5 or "Haley" by Needtobreathe. All are breakup songs or about about a loss in a relationship, but the issue is approached very differently with the Christian bands, which is why FF5 and Needtobreathe are the winners in my book.

I'll definitely be praying for you guys. It's awesome to see your band's foundation is rooted in Christ, and that the roots aren't at all hidden. Looking forward to seeing ya in concert someday, but in the meantime I'll be spreading the word about the band to my family and friends!!

In Him,
Mark
God bless you guys! I'll be sure to pray that you continue to do things for His glory and that people are continually blessed by it. It's not often that there is a band both me and my mom like, but your message is so pure and clear, how can one not be moved? "His kingdom fell and his heart was troubled I feel the same, I feel the same The strong man falls to Him who humbles He demands a man who won’t stumble And that’s why He came And that’s why He came" Absolutely beautiful, absolutely true.
In Christ <3
