I'm Delia Lopez and I am running for congress because I'm tired of our congressman, who has sworn to uphold our constitution, then votes to subvert it.  Our congressman who has supported "Free trade" that isn't free, and has cost Oregon more than 70,000 jobs.  Who supports a carbon tax, Al Gore suggests $1.25 per gallon of gas, on every gallon of gas, that will harm all Oregonians. He has supported the bail out of billionaire's at our expense.  He voted against allowing small businesses to band together, so they could buy group health insurance for their employees, he voted to allow the regulation of our vitamins and herbal supplements by the WTO.  Earl Blumenauer is out of touch with Oregon and it's time he found a new job.

Our government has gotten out of our control. Our constitution was written very precisely to limit the power of government and to protect the rights of the people.  The federal government was to be especially restrained, government closest to the problem is most efficient and the people are better able to maintain control.  When our congressmen started to allow our constitution to be ignored, the federal government took control in many areas where it had no constitutional authority to do so.  When the federal government takes control, the people lose it.  We need to elect people to congress that will work to return our country to constitutional guidelines.  Our troops are now in 130 countries around the world, we are paying to police the world.  Our troops are guarding the borders of countless other nations, while ours is wide open. Hordes of illegal aliens are coming into our country, bankrupting hospitals and filling our subsidized housing, housing that should be for our disabled and senior citizens.  It's time, we the people, take back our country.  Our country is spending a trillion dollars a year, overseas while our social security trust fund is bankrupt.  The truth is they can not be trusted and there is no fund.  We must restore our Republic, we don't live in a Democracy. Please see my web page www.dlopezforcongress.com for a good explanation of the difference by Benedict De La Rosa .  The 10th amendment to the constitution stated that the power was to be held by the states, if the states still held that power, there would be no lobbyists, our federal congressman would not have the power to benefit companies.  There would be no corporate welfare or subsidies. The mortgage mess we are in right now was created by the government interfering in the banking industry.  Several Congressmen have sounded the alarm over the years but, unfortunately the majority were busy enjoying their share of the spoils; looting those who pay their salaries.  So nothing was done.
