Sunday was a great day to be in the forest! The parking lot at he Maple Woods Natural area was full of cars. Still, once we got on the trail it wasn't crowded at all. The Paw Paw patches were a nice contrast to the leaves covering the forest floor. The persimmon area was fully ready for harvest with hundreds of fruits on each tree. I hope to post some of the pictures we took. The only other color left belonged to the red oaks. These looked incredible with the sun streaming through the leaves. We didn't see any animals but with the leaves gone this is great time to go out just before dusk, sit still and ...
