Um.... hello, everyone.

I want to preface this blog post by saying it's been so long since I actually used myspace that I literally just posted this as a bulletin and then was confused why it wasn't showing up as a blog. Wow. +2 for me.



I will come right out and admit that I have neglected this myspace terribly, and for that I apologize. A few days ago I went and remodeled the profile, added all working links and things, and updated any outdated information.

I have heard many of your comments that Broken Hearted Slytherins isn't working on iTunes, and for awhile I ignored it because I paid my renewal fees and everything seemed to be live and in working order on my end, but then I actually went onto iTunes myself and you were RIGHT (I should never doubt my fans). So I have emailed customer support and I'll keep you updated on what happens with that. :)

So, there is a lot of information spreading around about this band and I wanted to just post a blog to set the record straight. I know things were announced on twitter and facebook and youtube, but myspace is the home of wizard rock so I feel like it becomes official once we announce it here.

Yes, Brittany quit the band.

Nothing about it was malicious or the product of anything other than her being married and too busy to keep traveling all over the country with me to play shows. I know this news probably comes at a shock, because it definitely was a shock to me.

The Parselmouths aren't over though. Brittany and I did this together for five years, but along the way we added Eia, and Eia and I have been continuing to work on the new album we plan to release at LeakyCon, with quite a bit of help from our fellow NW wizard rocker Luke Conard who has stepped up to essentially be Brittany for the sake of this album, as well as producing it for us.

We will still be performing at LeakyCon.

My boyfriend Alex Day (you may know him from YouTube as "nerimon") has been hastily learning our songs to be able to play with us in Boston, so he may not wear hot pink eye shadow and 3 inch heels, but we'll have a very lovely guitar player for that conference.

Plans for Azkatraz are still up in the air but I guarantee we'll be playing there too, so don't worry.


The Parselmouths are going strong, just minus our favorite Brittany.  It'll take some getting used to, but I hope everyone still likes us, even without her yelling "like cats!" and fangirling Voldemark.


Anyway, we're working hard on our album and I really hope everyone likes it. Eia and I are very proud of it.

We'll see you at LeakyCon!

I wish I'd been able to see you guys live once before Brittany left but at least the band itself is still together and I ight be able to see you eventually. Do you ever get to come to Ohio?

That's horrible news, :( ..I'm sure, no I KNOW you and Eia will rock on the new album. Hopefully before Wrockstock I can get my hands on it...I'll miss Brittany, and I'm sure you'll miss her more.....All I can say is chin up, Kristina? Well im sad cause i was looking forward to my first Parselmouth rockout with all of you at LeakyCon but i still cant wait to see this new united force.. with Alex... to bad he isnt wearing the eyeshadow and heels.. it would be amusing.. ;) ok well even with this bad news i still cant wait to see you guys ....debbi

Here is my first comment on your myspace and I feel quite ashamed, as you are one of the bands I discovered more than one year ago, and I love you music. Pretty in Pink (and Green) is one of the best wrock album around. Your songs are so funny, particulary What Kind of Name is Hermione. My favorite must be Heartbreaker, though. Too bad that Kristina isn't in the band anymore ! Tell her lots of thank yous for all awesome songs you made together. I will miss seeing her in show videos on YouTube (the only way I can see shows, as I don't live in the US =(...)......Do you want to know a little funny thing that happen to me ? Until I read your blog entry about Brittany's wedding a few months ago, I was sure her name was Kristina, and that Kristina's was Brittany ! I felt like I didn't deserve to be called a wrock fan when I realised that it was the other way around ^^ Sorry !......(I hope everything is written correctly : my first language is French)..

=(....I confess, when I heard about this on your YouTube video, it had a "The Day that Music Died" feeling. Partly because Brittany was (is) one of my favorite people on Wrock. So, I definitely miss that ... and her awesome guitar playing skills.....But I'm absolutely thrilled that Eia and you never consider ending this awesome band. You guys, IMO, have one of the best developed concepts on Wrock music. And I'm thankful for Luke, for stepping in to help as well. Oh! And Alex! See? That's great. Spattergroit is hilarious, with lovely music & vocal arrangements. I really got excited!!!....So, thanks for keeping going, your effort make us happy!..<3....
