Has anyone been tattooed over their KP? I was lookin to get my whole arm done bt im wondering if you can even get ink done on KP skin...

I have been wondering that same thing!!! I keep getting my tatts done in places that don't have the KP too bad, but I want to tattoo over ALL the KP!

Hi, I wandered in from another forum, I've never posted here before. Anyway, I suffer from a mild case of KP, and since I've never really been able to rid myself of it, I decided to do sleeves on both arms. I don't have a lot of bumpiness or chicken skin, more like a bunch of discolored dots so like I said my case is not too bad. I still get bumps from time to time, but the color makes it much less noticeable and of course the discoloration is totally invisible now!

Yes you can tattoo over it, i have two big tribal armbands one on each arm and some of it covers some of my KP, which after over 15 years of having it, TODAY i finally took the time to look it up and well i'm not to happy there isnt a cure.

I came here to ask the same thing! I have my tattoos all planned out for my upper arm so last time I was geting new ink I asked my artist about it and he said it should be fine but if I try any of the treatments that contain types of acid ( lactic acid, etc...) it may possibly fade the tattoo. But he wasn't entirely sure. Does anyone have experience using treatments over their tattoo for KP?
