Six weeks old, and he is now in his six MONTH clothes!
Well, they're still a LITTLE big on him, but I noticed this morning that his sleeper that I had him in was not allowing him to stretch out his legs that much. So when I changed his clothes I put him in an outfit from his six month collection.
It doesn't surprise me -- Christopher has been eating a lot lately. When I went to the pediatrician this week, he weighed in at 11 lbs, 11 oz and (using the paper and pen method) measured at 23 1/2 inches (Since I know that it isn't completely accurate to measure him that way, I'm giving him another half inch and saying he's 24 inches). So depending on which clothing guidelines you follow, he's almost already in 6 month clothes anyway.
But the next visit I'm not looking forward to -- he's starting on his vaccines. It's going to be tougher on me to watch him get them than it will be on him to actually receive them, I think. He told me that he's going to be testing for a few developmental things, as well, such as smiling. Doctor already caught him smiling once when we were in his office.
He's starting to make some gurgling and grunting type noises right now. And he's staying awake more. I'm taking the opportunity to read to him since I can't get him to sleep as easily as I used to be able to. The book: "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." Classic in children's literature.
But overall...no matter how much he grows, he's still going to be my little boy.
