One of the really cool things about MySpace music is the incredible amount and variety of music that I've found here. Wanted to share a couple musicians/projects that I thought were pretty damn special.

1. CRASH (http://www.myspace.com/crashnz) - don't know where this guy has been hiding for all this time, but his stuff is REALLY good. He describes it as electronica, but I'd have to disagree (although there IS that element there), it's a soundtrack for life. His Music for Film Vol. 1 & 2 are really special musical treats. I hear influences from Peter Gabriel, The Blue Nile, Tangerine Dream, Seal, and others, but he's managed to create a totally original synthesis of those influences into something really unique.

I travel a lot (of late), and Crash's music is a perfect soundtrack to travel by - I can imagine myself wandering the endless corridors of airports watching people scurrying by while listening to Vol 1 & 2 on my Mp3 player.

You owe it to yourself to check out his music - I don't buy that much music anymore, but I'm very glad I bought his - totally WORTH it!!!!

2. T3+uns (http://www.myspace.com/t3maisuns) - this group hales from Portugal, and I couldn't tell you what they're singing about, but I really don't care. Combining influences of Jobim and others, this is just really fun, pleasant music to listen to. Their CD is downloadable for free from their website (reachable thru their MySpace page), and you owe it to yourself to check it out. This is must listen to music for the beach and other summer activities.

3. John Findlay (http://www.myspace.com/johnfindlaymusic) - reminds me of Boz Scaggs meets Bonnie Raitt meets James Taylor meets Little Feat with a good amount of New Orleans blues thrown in for good measure. Really nice writing and playing. And oh yeah, his whole CD is downloadable for free (follow the directions on his MySpace page).

There are many others, but these three really have kicked my ass (musically) and I wanted to share them - ENJOY!!!!
