'All these years I've been singing about being a historymaker, but it's never been me that I'm singing about. It's  always been you... you're the ones that are making history.' Martin

By now you'll  know that 2009 is the last year that Delirious will be playing, recording and, well, being Delirious at all. Ever. You might know that there's a tour coming up and that it's been given the name HistoryMakers. What you might not have worked out is quite how much you're a part of the plot.

As the final months play out, we want to spend them as close to you as we can get. We want to know your stories, your journeys, the history you're making.

Over the years we've heard so many of your stories of faith, love and perseverance and they've always left us inspired and humbled in equal measure. So now we've created a corner here in the Living Room just for you - a blog for you to post your story, your life, your successes and struggles. There are loads of fantastic stories up there already, so you should join in the HistoryMaking right here.

Also, if you fancy a quick click that will make you smile you should go watch the and see the band telling you about the tour and how you should be sorting yourself out with your tickets pretty soon (seriously, the London show's already sold 80% of its tickets). But the best bit is watching Jon and Evans. I think we can agree that a future in TV does not beckon...

The last year for Delirious? Say it aint so!
Wow... guys I just wanted to wish you all the best in your new endeavors.
I also wanted you to know what an impact you had on me (I attended Willow Creek a couple years ago and saw your amazing concert...got a DVD that still gives me chills!)...seeing you perform, the energy, the love the voice of God speaking through your music sent me on a "new " direction musically... a path that hasn't been easy by any means but a path that has led me to souls that needed and found salvation. I don't get friend requests from fellow Christ followers nor does it appear that any of them even listen to my music, LOL, for the most part interest in what I offer comes from the "non Church going" ...somehow they were seeking something more, and in some small way I was able to be a part of that journey. For if even one soul was saved, it was all worth it...everything !

So Thanks Martin and everyone associated with Delirious
...your love really shines through

~Jon

I first met the bunch of you at a Joyce Meyer conference in Detroit... I had spent the morning taking pictures of the Worship with you and something inside me said you all should see the photos.

A few hours later I ended up with a backstage pass where I handed you an album full of that mornings pictures. I continued to take pictures that night and the following morning... and ended up coming to Hershey as well... where I was able to chat with you a little and introduce my little sister to you all.

It was amazing to see you all again, and even more amazing to continue taking photos of your performance.

Your music has helped me find a deeper faith, and strengthened the faith I already had.

Thank you for putting so much of you lives and love into your music...
You have forever touched my life.

Thanks for singing the Truth and worshiping the Lord God Almighty in front of all.  I really enjoy the music that you have created...You are my favorite.  You get it and that means a lot to me.  I will cherish your songs always and thanks again for helping me "enter into the throne room of Jesus Christ."  He is the only Truth, Light, and Way!!!!!

Track 5 on King of Fools played in my car over and over again for nearly a year.  At one point I realized the CD had been in my car's player for over six months without being removed.  I was sixteen years old and my dad had just died.  Night after night I went for a drive, living in that little sanctuary, praying for peace.  On the worst of nights I went to track 5 and watched the white lines on the road roll by.  In those moments I thanked God that when tragedy struck my life he was the one who kept me, molded me, and inspired me to live in a way that would make my father proud.  God nestled up against the storm in my heart, by speaking to me through your music and held me as his own.  It wasn't until I was graduating highschool that I finally read the title of that song, August 30th.  August 30th  was the last time I prayed, hugged, and said goodnight to my father, he died on September 1st, 1997.  So thank you, Delirious, for serving our father in heaven, and singing the truths of the gospel to the millions/billions of lives that have been touched.  Praise God, and may we all live to honor Him.

Matt

I have loved you guys for years and its so disappointing that its all coming to an end. Several years ago I discovered the Cutting Edge albums and was a fan ever since!

Just wanted to let you know how your ministry has strengthened and buoyed me in some difficult times and in the good times as well. I am very grateful for the opportunity to see you live in London in 2005 and hope *wink* that that wouldn't be the last time.

Thank you for pushing boundaries and challenging us to strive for more in God and to be history makers. God's richest blessings on all of you (past and present).

Much love,
Shelly
