Electric Circus presents PHIL KIERAN this NYE at The LOFT Electric Avenue

The E.C crew would like to invite all the good party people to come ring in the new year in Style with one of Techno's hottest Dj / Producers PHIL KIERAN.
No stranger to Waterford over the year's Phil has a loyal fan base, while having been a Resistance Resident since day one and quiet often stole the show from the headline act. So just in case you don't know about the man.....

Phil Kieran's mind must be a diverse universe with a love of good music at its core. With Electronica as his launching pad, the prolific producer and hard working DJ has traveled the spectrum of electronic music styles. Always rife with jagged energy and throbbing baselines, a Phil Kieran DJ set can confidently guide a dancefloor through a labyrinth of emotions using Techno, Electro and House as signposts with the odd detour via Joy division and Depeche Mode.

Phil's band 'Alloy Mental' are symptomatic of an artists mind, born of a need to create something new. Phil took Corrigan's menacing, yet mesmerizing vocals; spliced it with his own brand of darkly atmospheric bleepery, added a healthy dose of heavy guitar riffs, the band broke their two year silence with the release of self named track, 'Alloy Mental'.From day one DJs grappled to be first to break the new record in clubs around the world,

Nowadays Phil plays a relentless schedule of dates, headlining throughout Asia, South America, Europe, and of course the UK. Once described as the hardest working producer in Techno, he has released a stream of his own tracks under labels including Cocoon, Novamute, Flying cabbage, Electrix, Kingsize,Skint, Soma, and Yoshitosh. Over the last couple of year's Phil brought us 'Skyhook' on Novamute and hooked up with Cocoon to release 'I think I'm a monster'. Following both tracks widespread success the German label is also set to unleash 'Missp' in March 08.

Now he's new record label , Flying Cabbage has Phil at the helm in his new role as label boss. If a track sounds good, if it can move you inside or out, it has a home at Flying Cabbage.

Phil certainly leads by example. His own works and DJ sets mix the past with the present, dark with light, the uplifting with the unsettling, resulting in an uncompromised and unique take on underground dance music.

Support on the night comes from E.C resident Sex Shop and local talent of Conor Erett and John Brady both of whom have entertained for Electric Circus on more than one occasion.
