Wanted to drop in and let you all know that today i got my first mosquito bite of the season. Summer must not be far off. I am spending most of the summer recording a couple new discs. The more ambitious project is a collage/ random disc of environmental sounds and tunes. I want to capture what it is like to do what I do where I do it. So expect some variety, and a lot of sounds from my neighborhood. Already in place are Jake the faker {a church cat}, squeaky whirlybirds, jams, answering machine messages, and more! But first, I have to make a couple new bows, and make time for a nap...

Congratulations! Your summer officially began when you were christened by the mosquitoes. I got it last weekend at the Cambridge River Festival.

The new CD sounds very interesting. Having adopted a former church cat myself, I am especially looking forward to hearing what Jake the faker has to say!

Magnificent! Any pigeons making an appearance on your new album?
I know someone who might like that ;)

Hard to tell just everybody who will appear on the disc. I'm sure if you leave it out when I send it to you, your birds will be happy to make an appearance on it! Did you know Sally ios looking for a house sitter in a couple weeks?

It's so weird... I am out in the wilds of the yankee swamps of Carlisle and have yet to see ONE mosquito! Even stranger... the ONLY mosquito I have seen so far this year landed on my arm when I was having a beer in the air-conditioned comfort of the 21st Amendment, a bar on Beacon Hill next to the fair golden dome of our State House! Methinks he liketh the company of all the blood-sucking politicians nearby!

That was no ordinary mosquito. That was me biting you, as a kick in the pants to make your next record. See, it worked!
