So we have finaly recorded our debut EP! We will reveal all artwork, tracklisting and all that nonsence later on. For now hear is our studio Diary, Enjoi.

We chose to record our EP with Josh Jenkins at sharptooth studios in penzance. Josh is great at recording Metal (and all other genres) and can mix like the best of them, if any of you have heard his mixes before you will know what we are on about - and if you haven't, then just wait for this EP!

Rhythm Guitars:
The rhythm guitars on this record were both recorded on seperate amps. The first guitar was recorded through a Peavy 6505+ and a Ibanez TS9 turbo tube scremer. We took a while trying to find a heavy tone for this guitar and eventually settled with what we think sounds punishing!

The second rhythm guitar went through a Engl Fireball and again, the Ibanez TS9 turbo. We worked fast with rhythm guitars getting them done in just over a day. They are sounding massive and heavy, what more could we of asked for!

Lead Guitar:
The lead guitars were also all recorded through the Engl fireball (with different settings) as they are hi-gain amplifiers and give lead work a real kick! All the guitars were recorded on a Ibanez S2170FB Prestige equipt with a Seymour Duncan 59 in the neck and a Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge, it was also strung with a pack of 7 string strings, just without the highest string - so 4 wound strings and 2 hi (14 - 58). This gave the tone extra beef. Cab wise all guitars went through a Marshall 1960's 4x12.

Bass Guitar:
For the bass guitar we wanted nothing more than beef! We had heard that the best thing to do when recording bass is to put it through a Sanzamp and a tube screamer... so thats just what we did. We played around for a while getting it to sound heavy but with enough low end to still be ballsy and keep all clarity. Tracking for the bass was completed in no more than a few hours and it sounds punishing! The bass used was a Ibanez SR900.

Drum Tracking:
Tracking drums started just before 12 Midday and we worked constantly through the day getting the songs down. After a long day of playing around with different ideas in songs and chopping and changing sections we finish's all the drums.

They are sounding great all ready, so we are stoked on that, the final mix can only be better - we will be going for a kind of Acacia  Strain/Impending Doom Sound with them!

Hear is the Drum kit that Dan is using on the Record.
