Points, info and factoids.
* The Song Room runs every Wednesday in the Globe on Georges street, Dublin 2. First act is on at 9, our curfew is 11.30.
* Sound check is at 7.30 and is usually just done with the last band of the evening.
* The PA is a good quality vocal PA. We have 3 x mic vocals, DI keyboards and acoustic instruments. We get a level on amps to suit the room.
* We book all styles of music except anything very downbeat or noisy.
* Solo/duo acts usually get about 25 minutes to play, full bands usually get about 35 minutes. This can vary depending on the night/acts/changeover times.
* Bands need to bring their own instruments, amps and leads. We do have a decent enough electric piano and our friends The Sunday Roast have a drum kit that we can use. These can be used when available, we just ask that if you wish to use them instead of your own gear you help us get them up and down from storage!
* If you're coming form out of town we can often arrange for free accommodation in a quality hostel in return for a short set there. Email us for details.
