Hi all welcome to "Creatures 3rd Any Spare Change Rally Page" .
This page will give you the information as to Whats hopefully gonna happen for 2009's N.A.B.D fund raiser.
Many humble thanks to everyone who has again offered there help and support. It has made this event possible,
This year theres gonna be some major changes, many that the ralliest won't see and some that you will see.
A very huge thanks goes to Robin, who for the first 2 Any Spare Change Rallies provided the back line and the PA free of charge.
Robin has advised me that he feels its time for a change, and is more than happy to let someone else provide the PA for future events.
So very many thanks from me m8 for all you have done over the last 2 years and we look forward to seeing the light show you have offered us for the 3rd Any Spare Change Rally.

Colin and his staff will again have some excellent Ales on sale and also provide excellent meals. I know Colin was upset by running out of some ales on Saturday night and says this will not happen again (sounds like a challenge to me : ). The pub resturant will again be closed off from the rally, but you are more than welcome to go into the pub for a sit down meal.
Altho there may be some non rally people there, so please be respectful to any non ralliests in the pub.
It is also advisable to book your meal in advance. You can even book your meal before the event if you wish (Phone number above). Colin's resturant is very popular and often sells out, so be warned...
Colin has again offered to sponsor the Marquee, Stage & Flooring - and he and I hope everyone supports him in this. Colin and myself dont mind reasonable amounts of alcohol brought onto the CAMPSITE as long as it is consumed at your tents. Once you enter the secured show arena we would ask you to buy your alcohol from the bar. If we are as successful in 2009 as we were in 2008 Hopefully Colin will continue to sponsor the Marquee, Stage & Flooring.
Without his sponsorship of these, this event would not go ahead as it costs more to hire than profit we made at 2008's fund raiser.
Colin is hoping to have showers all sorted for 2009 ( I will update this as soon as information is passed along.)
Bands Confirmed So far (Some still waiting for confirmation)
All the bands wanted to come back again for 2009, but as I have used many bands now for 2 years, some I will be forced to leave some out, so We can bring in some new bands. Hopefully we will be able to bring some of those bands we have to leave out this year back at a later date. The choice of bands to be left out is something I am not looking forward to making the decision and then letting these people know. Even harder when they are all great friends.
Too all the bands who have played at the Any Spare Change Rallies - Your enthusiasm and support is greatly appriciated.

Fridays Entertainment.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
.. (Headline Band) Now these girls need no introduction. 3 very lovely, talented young ladies (my adopted daughters). I met these girls at Fido's 2nd chilly willy rally over 4 years ago and they blew my and everyone else minds away. Even hard'nd ralliests / promoters were amazed.
Ever since I have been blessed with the opportunity to work with them many times, sometimes at rallys, sometimes helping them out for Wish Upon a Star charity and often at there home (Old Nicks Tavern) in Horncastle. In fact there home has become my favuorite watering hole and I try and go there at least once a week.
They play a range of music from covers to there own penned material - and they work hard to get everything right. They give there all when they go on stage and are just so down to earth and friendly off stage.
Over the last 2 years there gig bookings go from strength to strength and are making a real name for themselves. These girls deserve to make the big time and I am sure they will. And I look forward to working with them many more times in the future.
If you heckle them or just think mummy n daddy brought everything for them be prepaired to be shot down in flames as these girls will just let there performace talk for them...
The Almaboobies were at the "1st & 2nd Any Spare Change Rallies" .... and they have asked to come back again this year for a slot on Friday evening. In there own words, "we want to come along and party for the weekend".
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
.. (2nd Band) Termoil - A young band I have had the pleasure to work with or watch many times, and yet another band that have asked to come back and play again.
These guys are improving gig by gig. I have had the pleasure of regular vists to see them whilst they practice in there practice rooms, Jam with them as well as play onstage with them at last years Any Spare Change Rally. They have amazed me with there dedication and hardwork to try and give every song 110%.
They cover a selection of music from The Kinks, Black Sabbath, Metalica, Iron Maiden, Free etc
This year they have a host on new covers and some more of there own songs for us to listen too. They have not rested on there laurels but have continued to improve.
They were at the "1st Any Spare Change Rally" on Sat afternoon and went down a storm, And they did a blinding opening set at last years rally to set the standard for the rest of the bands to follow...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------.. (Opening Band) Skelington Crew - A local band from Nottingham who I have seen many times at Old Nicks (Horncastle) and have become very good friends with. They have been asking me for 2 years now to play at the Any Spare Change Rally. So this year they get there wish.
http://www.myspace.com/skeletoncrewuk - now this band will shake out all the cobwebs from your ears as the opening act this year. They ar eprobally a bit on te heavey side for the opening act, but when you get 8 plus bands all who are good enough to headline in there own right, someone has to start things off.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Saturdays Entertainment.Noon - kicks of with disco from Chaos Roadshow. (any requests see Paul and for a small donation into the N.A.D.B bucket he will try his best to play your song.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------1pm - 3pm Rick Hulses Smacked Arse Stand-Up Comedy at Creature’s ‘Any Spare Change’ Charity Rally
A very popular choice this one, in fact just about everybody onsite last year was in the marquee for this. And due to the amount of requests Rick Hulse & his comedians will be back again this year. I have had the pleasure not only to know Rick Hulse but to work along side him several times and I can honestly say theres never a boring moment. Thru Rick I have come to know many of the comedians he uses and have become good friends with many. I like most of you are waiting with baited breath to see which comedians will be playing and the antics they are gonna get upto onstage.
I am looking for sponsorship for the comedy club ! Interested please email me at
mr_creature@hotmail.co.uk or phone me on 07957375463.
The Smacked Arse comedy show at the Any Spare Change Rally on the afternoon of Saturday May 16th 2009 will proudly feature;

Christian Reilly: At the age of 15, Christian Reilly joined a band to get laid. The Salvation Army had different ideas…
As former integral part of the Perrier award-winning show Otis Lee Crenshaw and the Black Liars, with comic/songster Rich Hall, Christian's career has taken him around the world three times. On his way, he received accolades at international festivals and numerous network TV credits in the USA, Australia, New Zealand and Britain.
Now a solo stand-up performer and playing all the major comedy venues in his own right, Christian uses his dynamic guitar and vocal skills to target histrionic rock bands, musical theatre and morose indie musicians. He recently wrote and performed for 'That Was Then This Is Now' (BBC Radio 2) as musical counterpart to Richard Herring and Emma Kennedy, as well as giving his improvisation skills an outing on Radio 2's 'Jammin'.
Christian's comic songs, improvisations, sharp wit and youthful energy have delighted audiences wherever he performs. He appeared in Edinburgh in 2006, performing in the ever-popular 'AAA' at the Pleasance Courtyard.
"His stand-up is witty and heaving with punchlines…will win over all but the hardest hearts and minds." – Chortle
"This genuine, trendy, confident comedian has a natural talent for risky jokes, song and quips which you can't help laughing at! If you get the chance to see Reilly live, do so. He is not to be missed!" – Funny.co.uk
“Performed with high spirits and tongue-in-cheek energy. Christian Reilly [plays his] part with unashamed gusto... Sheer bravura and an awful lot of glitter” – The Stage

Steve Shanyaski: Steve walked out on a mind numbing office job and straight onto a comedy stage in the beginning of 2003, and has not looked back since.
Within half a year of his comedic birth he had made it through to the semi-finals of the BBC New Comedian of the Year, the North West Comedian of the Year Final, and later that year he had the honour of appearing on the BBC7 Radio Showcase “Spanking New”.
Since then he has added to his list of accolades by being named the Holsten Pils Comedian of the Year 2005, and the Birmingham Comedy Festival’s best breaking talent 2005.
A very charismatic and silly performer with a natural talent for spinning yarns, a fertile imagination, and a skilled musical background, his act combines as many elements as Steve can muster. A bucketload of charm and some surreal and silly material coupled with his brilliant comedy songs make Steve the ideal booking for any show.
Steve performed at one of Rick Hulse’s comedy gigs in Stockport in November 2006 and was immediately booked for Rick’s ‘Frog & Bucket Comedy Club Roadshow’ at You’ve Been Nabbed 16 in 2007. Since then he has also performed at The Welsh National Motorcycle Show 2007 and The Yorkshire Pudding rally 2008.
"Like a mixture between Eddie Izzard and Peter Kay... with a guitar." – Stockport Express
"The key to his act is that his vision is a delightfully skewed one." – Manchester Online
“His musical salute to Chav’s and Scallies is pure genius.” – Rick Hulse

Roger Monkhouse: Roger Monkhouse is one of the most original and distinctive acts on the comedy scene. A consummate stand-up who employs a deadly combination of charm and menace to exert a masterful control over any audience. A highly original and quirky performer, Roger's trademark stage-prowling style and curious, inimitable manner have established him as one of the hottest names on the comedy circuit.
Distinguished as a comic by his eloquence and keen eye for a fine phrase, Roger's easy observational style is spiked by the signal flares of an accomplished gag writer.
As one of the most sought after acts on the comedy circuit, Roger headlines at all the major comedy venues and has performed extensively throughout the United Kingdom and Internationally, most recently performing in Belgium, The Netherlands, South Africa, China, Singapore and the Middle East.
A fine topical writer and performer, and master of sharp observational comedy, Roger is a regular member of the prestigious and critically acclaimed 'Cutting Edge' team at the London Comedy Store. He also performed with the Manchester based topical and satirical team 'MEN at Work' at the Manchester Comedy Store. His forte is delivering intelligent, thought provoking material that pulls no punches and is always incisive, relevant and up to date. Articulate, quick witted and spontaneous, if something's in the news, Roger has a routine about it.
"Some of the material's saucy - and uncompromisingly so - other parts are passionate and polemic. He's sometimes topical, sometimes punny. Sometimes clever, sometimes daft. There is, in short, something in this varied comedy menu for every taste…a gifted natural…one of the consummate professionals of the stand-up circuit" – Chortle
"packs in more observations on the human condition in a twenty minute set than a whole lecture on Jean-Paul Sartre" – Venue Magazine
"an enthusiasm akin to that of an excitable professor who's just found the gene that would enable a python to grow a beard" – Manchester Evening News

Rick Hulse (Host & Compere): Rick Hulse's comedy style is brash, uncompromising and down-to-earth. Though the language can be raw, his insights into the world of, dieting, drugs, marriage, sex, and motorcycling never fail to entertain.
Having a twisted philosophical view on just about any subject, from ranting against life’s inequalities to musing on the design of human genitalia, makes for an unpredictable show. His long involvement in the biking scene, seventeen years as the Chairman of the NABD and thirteen years of writing comic fiction and manic articles under such names as Professor Pierre O’Bollox, M Phetamine and Shirley Crabtree, together with his off-hand Mancunian manner have made him a firm favourite in hosting bikers parties and rallies.
If you are looking for political correctness bring a microscope. Rick’s acerbic Mancunian wit bulldozes its way through life, the universe and everything (everything sex or alcohol related anyway).
“If you need a good comedian for your rally, just get Rick Hulse. He’s as funny as fuck!” – 100% Biker Magazine
“Rick Hulse once again had the crowd in hysterics” – BSH Magazine
“Despite the scary appearance, Rick Hulse proved to be an affable chap with a wry wit” – Manchester Evening News
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------1pm - 5pm - Bike show in the secure arena. Not sure of all the details yet or how the judging will take place. Please Note - only bikes/trikes that are camping over the weekend will be legable to enter into the bike show. You cant just turn up and try to enter as those who tried last year found that day visiters vehicles are parked in a secure area off the camp & show sites. This year the trophies will be.....Best in Show, Long Distance Male, Long Distance Female, Best Chop, Best Rat, Best Trike, Best StreetFighter, Best Brit, Best stall bike/trike (This one has come about becuase some stalls bring there own bikes/trikes so they now have there own category ! ), Best PaintWork & Club Attendance.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stevie & His Mandolin - Again the Beer monsters introduced me to Stevie a few years back, and have had the pleasure of working along him many times, as well as just seeinging at rallys and other gigs.
Stevie like many of the performers I know gives everything to his performances....
He does a wide range of covers in his own style as well as penned some great songs - many that have now become firm favourites on the rally curcuit.
Stevie They cover a selection of music from Steve Earle, Townes Van Zant, Richard Thompson, Fairport Convention, Jimmy LaFave, The Proclaimers, Small Faces, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, AC/DC, Alice Cooper !! and so much more.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------More to be annouced as the bands confirm.
All the bands who play on my stage have become great friends and its with there encouragement and support that keeps me going when i'm sat here alone and things are getting on top of me. In some cases at there persuation I have been known to jam with them, but they are a great bunch of people who all just want to get on stage and perform.
All the above bands are playing for FREE or at worst a maximum of £50.00 expenses allowance.
All these bands are here because they want to be here and because they fully endorse everything N.A.B.D stands for and what we are trying to do.
so please come along and support them. Like you they want to be there to help raise funds for N.A.D.B and also to have a great time. And they would all like to have you dancing away when they are playing as it gives them a great lift and often they then raise there standards higher.
You will notice that many of these bands will be camping and enjoying themselves over the weekend (subject to other bookings) and they are all very approachable. So please go n have a chat with them (all we ask is that they are allowed around 30 mins after there set to chill out).
This year in the marquee will be an area put aside for the bands to sell there cds,patches,T-shirts etc. So please go and support these bands by buying there merchandise. or even booking them for your event.
