We have officially begun the Birthday mania at our house. Ten years ago today My youngest son Max was born. What a day! I had discovered my final pregnancy on Halloween of the previous year, Trick or Treat! It was a treat! Max arrived in the evening ten years ago. He was a day late for the our Wedding anniv. and two days early for my birthday! I was thankful that his birth certificate would still claim me a year younger! I celebrated my 38th birthday that year in the hospital. Then nurses were so attentive and got me cake and made a card.. they said it was rare that a Mom was there on her birthday! I can't imagine it is that rare, but perhaps in our small community it was rare! July 1 will be the day I celebrate me. I will inch that much closer to fifty and sign a lot I am sure! We of course then have America's birthday. We usually celebrate with the rest of the country and this year we will travel to my friends house. She and her husband have built a beautiful Log Cabin on the side of a Mountain in Northern Vermont, over looking one of the cleanest lakes in the country! When I say Northern Vermont, I am not kidding, ya can practically lean over and spit into Canada (not that I ever would! I love Canada!!! - Its just an example of how close... k , never mind)..
The next day my Middle child, Sam will celebrate HIS birthday.. He turns 12 this year!! (oldest enough to legally leave alone for an hour if I have to!)
SO if you are keeping track so far we have six days: three birthdays and a National Holiday! If that were not enough a five days later, my step daughter will celebrate her birthday. Though we don't see them enough we will send her kind wishes.. On the 13th our beloved Peekabu ( the "puppy") becomes a "dog" .. He will turn ONE!! (or Seven in People years!!) .. the 15th, Two dear friends of mine will also have birthdays.. Rev Shipley Allinson and Adele Volta.
SO.. if you are keeping track.. in 15 days.. thats SEVEN Birthdays and a Major Holiday. The only thing I have to say about all that is.... dang it must get cold in Sept. and October..
