Dragon Fli Empire had the amazing privilege of rocking at the 2009 Calgary Folk Festival this past weekend. The fun started out with our own set at Stage 3 on Saturday afternoon, where we got the crowd involved in a game of Calgary Jeopardy. Shortly after, we performed a workshop with PAPAGROOVE, Micheal Bernard Fitzgerald and Jason Wilson. The reggae/afrobeat/folk mixture with hip hop proved to be a rousing success as the entire tent rocked out to the positive vibes.

On Sunday, we entertained the volunteers with a solo performance at the hospitality area. After that came the killer collaboration with DFE, Arrested Development, Kid Koala and Mutabaruka. It was possibly the best-attended side stage show in the history of the festival, with some estimates pegging the crowd as high as 6000 people.
