...Funny you should ask...
Last night at Howard's was a B'Last! So much hot rock I was surprised it didn't turn the brickwalls of Club H into boiling magma.
First Extra! Extra! (Toledo) went on with a smoke machine and a fistful o' catchy ass high energy numbers with "whoo-hooo!" & "Yeah, yeah" type o' background vocals, hand claps galore & buckets full o' attitude & stage moves. Good Times, those Extras! Extras! we been doin' a load of shows with those guys & it's always a riot. Here's to the world tour.
Next up, Beggars came from Detroit to dance & party & have a ball. Singin' songs about classic American film (Sleep Away Camp) they broke it down for a few bars to let singer Steven Davis Eyes pay homage to the Hot Rails. It was fuckin' sweet. Lots of high kicks & floor humpin'. You should probably hire Beggars for your grandma's birthday party cuz they're a band everyone should see before the bell tolls.
Cleveland's The Hot Rails were Rock & Roll personified for their set. Dual guitar attack! Singer Ken Janssen was in the crowd dancing before they even got to the chorus of the first song. He also downed a bottle of Schlitz between every number, sometimes while lying on his back. The guitar frenzy never let up, I had tears in my eyes by the end of their set for two reasons: 1.) the sheer abandon of The Hot Rails was like sticking my face into a volcano
2.) we had to follow them
So, our set went exactly how you'd think...fucking brilliant! the Dumb-Easies/Hot Love band members came up to sing "I'm from the Future" with us so I could concentrate on my Davey Jones moves & Nathan ExtraExtra grabbed the mic & did a pretty good impression of me during "Ruin My Life" while his band mates shouted along from the crowd. I still got a chance to sing some songs as well, so that was cool.
Big ups to everyone who came out to the "H" I hope your faces don't hurt too much from being all rocked last night. I wonder if anyone got any pictures? I'd love to see the one of Ken lying on his back spitting schlitz straight up into the air. Rock & Roll!!!!!

If anyone's got any stories from last night (Howard's or not) share em here...
So, what'd you do last night?

Man, where do I start? That was quite a show!! Extra Extra rocked it. The Beggars rocked it. The Hot Rails rocked it. Matt Truman and his Ego Trip rocked it. Fuck, I even rocked it a little. What a bill!! I needed help to my car from all the crippling rocking. I had to swallow 4 percocet just to stand. That's actually true. Not the standing part, but the percocet part is. So I had drugs and rock and roll that night and woke up the old lady when I got home and managed to have some sex too. I had it all in one glorious evening. I await death anxiously!! Thank you rockers, you proved to me that a show can rock without me. xoxoxo Jimmy Danger

My night was like a cross between an After-School Special and the Miss America pageant. Lots of people I haven't seen since the day I graduated high school were there buying me drinks. High-fives were running rampant. Homophobia had died alongside dreams of playing professional football. I'm convinced that the beer the cop (my former high school nemesis) bought me was laced with something. I drank Kelsey Rollins' breast milk. Heather gave me a very painful and ugly bruise on my inner-upper left arm. It took me an hour to figure out who Danielle Swinford was. I told Erin repeatedly that I would NOT be ripping her face off. Jeannie said she wanted to take video of me but was scared. Kristy and I reminiced about toast. I told Holly Baldwin to lick her butt. Rusty asked once again if I was seeing anyone. I'm not sure I even sang when we were onstage to sing "The Future", I think I just babbled incoherently. The show was the best thing Howard's has had in a long time...except when Hot Love/Dumb-Easies play.

Man o man, where should I beign! First off kudos for the kind words, we brought the rock in the only way we know how, perhaps a little sloppier than we usually do but damnit rock and roll isnt meant to be perfect! (for those of you who don't know, rock and roll is meant to be played as loud and intoxicated as possible and I'd like to think we accomplished both to the fullest extent) Beggars were fucking awesome, it's been a long time since I've seen horns in a band and they did it quite well!! Hot Rails blew my mind to chunks, I think they might have given us a fun for our money on the drinking! And what can I say about Matt Truman and his fabulous Ego Trip? The more we play shows with you guys the more I kinda want to kiss your feet.
You are all amazing musicians and if anyone out there is keeping rock and roll alive and kicking it's you fellas! Thank you for rolling with the punches as I drunkenly attacked the stage and stole your mic, it was a blast! All in all it was one of the best shows I've ever had the privilage to be a part of, I'm looking forward to rocking out and passing out with you guys soon!
