Hello everybody!!!  First off, I hope that you all had a happy and a safe new year.  Now that it is 2008, we have another great year of metal ahead of us.  You can get that weekly dose of metal starting in January... as you already now.  If everything goes as we plan, Emma and I will have our first show on Sunday January 13th (my 21st birthday)!!!!  

Emma and I are going to discuss the show's direction shortly after she gets back to Clemson, which will be after Friday (January 4th).  An idea that I've been pondering is whether or not to set a theme for every show.  If we set a theme, then the show is set on one particular genre or subgenre of extreme metal.  

As of late, I've been doing a little research on the history of extreme metal.  I've been digging through my collection of death and grindcore cd's and seperating them into various piles.  This weekend I'll spend a day in the WSBF library, and browse through the massive collection of extreme metal that WSBF has accumilated over the years.  Knowing what exactly is in the library and in each of our personal collections, we'll be able to decide the direction of each show.
