Current mood: hungover
Hey, I am not quite sure if people still read MySpace blogs or if anyone still uses MySpace that much anymore but, really just to say that we are still alive. And just about well, I am definitely enjoying the Sun, I need the Sun in my life so it's nice when it comes out and is bright for a long time. What a depressing thought thought that the days arwe drawing shorter and shorter already. Last night I went out for a few drinks with a friend called Jamie and we ended up drinking Jagermeister in a gay bar with Jack Penate and his band, I've never really been a big fan of his music but I watched him play to a sold out Roadmender last night and he did put on a good show, and his band we really good - and nice.
In the world of The All New Adventures Of Us things are starting to gather a little more pace, we have finished some demos for the next record and are starting to rehearse them as seven people in one room with instruments. Maybe six people for a couple of months as Jay is going to America for that time to hang out with some friends and generally take a break I think... so I do hope he has a good trip. We are going to carry and write some music and arrange some stuff and jam out some ideas and hope that Jay comes home with some great stories to put the music to. That is my plan.I hope we can play a few live shows soon, I am aching to get back on stage.. I mean I have been on stage with other bands and played here and there but to play on a stage as The All New Adventures Of Us is ultimately the thing that is missing in my life at the moment, so hopefully the wheels will start rolling and we can play soon.
Another thing, last September just before Tanaou hit the road with The Spinto Band, Jay and Myself went to Oslo to record a Remarkable Rocket album with Kenneth Ishak. We pretty much did a whole album in about 5 days which was awesome, we've started jamming that with some other local musicians and it's starting to sound pretty killer. we actually have a show on saturday night at The Fishmarket in Northampton town, it's £3 to get in and there are other people playing so pop down.
One last thing, Chris Rab and Phil are all going skydiving in a couple of weeks for the really great charity of Caudwell Children, who basically help out mentally and physically disabled children, go to chris' just giving page here ' www.justgiving.com/chris_tanaou to donate a few beans, props to them for doing it they have all raised quite a bit so between them should actually be able to make a difference which is great. I would have done it but it dawned on me that I hate flying as it is, and the thought of hurling myself out of a plane makes me feel sick. And I'd have probably soiled myself too which wouldn't have been cool. But the point is. SPONSOR them.
That's all for now, I hope everyone is looking forward to the An Escape Plan record because it's going to melt your heart and replace it with a big beating shining ball of sunrays. or something to that effect.
Cheers then, thanks a lot.
Cheers,
Nic xo
