White mountain region punk rockers Hung Out To Dry just dropped their first EP titled "Goodeats!". This EP is loaded with killer melody and ripping guitar lines!
The overall sound of the EP is really strong. For someone who's never heard these guys, imagine taking Weezer, Alkaline Trio, and Against Me! and throwing them into a blender. Out would come Hung Out To Dry.
Each track on the EP really shows off the abilities of each musician. Scott Monighetti (lead vox and bass) keeps the bass lines tighter than a hardcore kids v-neck and really gets into his own singing style on songs like "Old Fashioned" and "Gadzukes!!". Bobby Davis, playing his Les Paul through a Marshall Mark II and doing back up vocals, has that great punk rock tone and umph to his writing.
Recently the band underwent some lineup changes that didn't involve original drummer Chris Roberts. After playing a few shows and rehearsals with a new drummer Scott and Bobby found they had something really strong going with Roberts and got him back onboard full-time.
Now with the band in its original line up they recorded "Goodeats!" and are playing as many shows as possible. Their next gig is August 15th at Ella Bella's in Rochester, NH but are always looking to book more dates.
