10.30.09 Modesto, CA. @ the Doubletree

Modesto! We've had a few days off and loved it but it was great to get back at it (it's what we do)! We flew into Sacramento and waited for Art, Karl and Derek to arrive... of course, their plane was delayed but we managed to get stuff done. Sasha figured out that there was free internet at the airport so out the laptops came!!! The guys were only 15 minutes or so late so it wasn't so bad. After they landed, it was about an hour and a half ride in the van to Modesto. Not bad and our driver, Marie, was very cool. Did you know that the DoubleTree Inn has fresh, free chocolate chip cookies when you check in? Well, they do and they ROCK! Anyway, we check in, get situated and do our thing... Me, being unable to sit still for any amount of time, went for a walk. Great town and VERY interesting people, I must say... Soundcheck was good, a little boomy (we were in a ballroom) but Derek liked it! Slice couldn't make the trip but Travis, our guitar tech for the night was really good! After soundcheck, the radio station, B92, took us out to an AMAZING dinner!!! Such good food and conversation. We all had a great time! The show was kicking and we even had a guy dressed as a clown come up on stage, which Art was thrilled by... not! Thanks to Travis,Marie,B92 and everyone who came to the show... Can't wait to come back!
