...And came out to see me and the boys Thursday night. It was a very small crew, but populated with friends and musicians I respect. The new songs were well received and Wade, John, and Greg all played amazingly. Wade does sometimes become David Gilmore; John actually played drums for the other band at the last minute and did a stellar job, I mean, STELLAR, plus playing the hell out of my songs too; Greg's vibraphone work makes the songs sound like "Angels of Light", "Blonde Redhead", and "The Innocence Mission" combined, it is angelic, truly.

We have one more show before heading into the studio in March. Thursday February 12th at Czar Bar, which will feature two new members of the KP band (or the band of locals, as I'm calling it these days, thank you Mr. Tulipana); a new bass player TBD (unless Dave's schedule opens up) and a very welcome appearance on the drums by Eric of American Catastrophe filling in for JB while he is on vacation. Plus, Greg will be joining us on vibes again!!!

February 12th, we'll be sharing the stage with Margo May and the Honeybabes (whose lead singer landed an appearance on American Idol - but her music is actually pretty good) and a band called Timbre (who I've not heard, but whom Mr. Smith likes - and that hardly ever happens :)).
