I'm sorry I had to go.
And I know you miss me so very much.
But remember when I first came, and I was all bounce and spit and you laughed and laughed?
And then the years went on, and we settled into our routines.
And those times were very good too, for we knew each other so well.
But love is never lost. And although I know you need to grieve for me,
Remember all the love we shared, and out there is another friend who needs what you so generously gave to me.
The paw prints that follow after me
will always be mine.

For Moon Baby, Merlin, Tikki, Tarly, Russy, Angel, and so many more little creatures, who no matter how much we loved them, always managed to give back just a little bit more.
