24th oct

we head for Hirosaki. and are met there by Fumi who takes us to the zilch cafe.

25th oct. we spend the day in the castle botanical gardens and witness the autumn leaves festival. this includes a very great performance by a childrens drum and synth orchestra.
they also have men made of flowers. 
fumis shop is called the stables.  the evenings gig is in a place called free space above another barbers shop. this time rachael has her fringe done.
after the show we're taken to a backroom cafe where the places are laid, place-name cat biscuits have been prepared, and eventually a tour cake is produced. this meal was completely amazing. also they had a phone, very old.

26th oct

mo starts the day back at the barbers for her first hairdo experience by a professional. then we head for akita by train. we're met by rui and uska who take us to her textiles workshop where the gig is to be. she has prepared real nice with textile stage. we stay in traditional japanese ryokan run by kyoko.

27th oct

kyoko makes us the nicest breakfast ever recorded of tofu ommelate, fired mushrooms, rice and natto, salad and miso soup.
then rui and uska come and take us to hot springs and have an auntumn walk:
