From the very early planning stages for www.fanboysoftheuniverse.com, I knew I wanted some eye candy. I had held a couple of cover boy contests for GHF and GSW, the gay He-Man and Star Wars Yahoo Groups, so I knew there were some pretty hot and sexy fanboys out there.

The whole Fanboy of the Month (FBOTM) part of the site is strictly for fun. I choose models not only based on their looks, but on their sense of humor and passion for all things geeky. FBOTU is in no way an adult or pornographic site, so I knew I wanted the photos to be fun, innocent and hearken back to the beefcake pin-up shots from fan magazines.

So far, so good. The guys who have joined the FBOTM ranks have been sweet and charming and friendly and enthusiastic. They bring a sense of fun and sexiness to the site and have been excellent goodwill ambassadors as their photos get snatched and emailed around the world.

There's a new FBOTM every month, plus new photos posted every Friday, or FBOTM Friday, as we call it now.
