Current mood:  crunk
hi!

it's good to be back in cyberspace, feels like 2000 light years since i last dipped my toes in (it's actually 364 days exactly since my last blog, which is eerily weird- so much so that i'm going to wait 57 minutes before posting it to make it 365) so i thought it'd be a good opportunity to update y'all on the trials, tribulations and takeovers of Love and a .45...

as most of you know, we've had a change in line-up since august 14 2008. a massive thanks goes out to sam from over and out for stepping in on bass earlier this year. he's not only learnt the bass lines and backing vocals like a trooper, but has also added a new dimension to the band. slosh-spotting has provided endless hours of amusement in the van, and he's the only person to challenge ivan on the beer quota from the rider...

SO, we've seen a fair few of you whilst we've been out on various jaunts round the UK's finest rock 'n' roll circuit with some top notch million-stellar bands (random hand, agent orange, the dickies). the random hand tour in jaunary signalled our first trip north of newcastle to scottish regions- ace but FUCKING FREEZING, paisley winters and angel of the north means you're homeward bound. it was also the first time i saw anyone eat a deep-fried pizza.

if you caught agent orange back in april then you'll know how sweet that band is. truly. "the cramps were badass!" also the tour that we discovered plymouth has a pretty mint late night whiskey scene (thanks darren crazyarm!), white russians still serving at 3am on a tuesday is good with us. shout outs to all the AO guys! and dusty's anti-smoking cinnamon sticks...

global hypercolours...

june i think brings us to to madrid. having met our spanish amigos white cabaret a couple of years ago when they played with the star spangles, we swapped a few shows and hit madrid shores to play the city and valencia. finally made it there in one piece despite ivan and nick missing the plane by 4 minutes. we played wurlitzer ballroom in madrid and magazine club in valencia, both were really cool clubs. hot as fuck. you can still smoke cigarettes inside which just feels really nuts! i was on the ice cream diet under the big black sun... this is a sneak peak at the crazy life on the road, all ceiling fans, bath tubs and cookies:

all brand new...

last weekend's rebellion festival brings us pretty much up-to-date... a classy weekend on the slot machines and 150ft coasters (and 6 months of playing the same set) taught me that the time has rolled round again where new music must be delivered. this brings me to my next point- we will be spending the next few months locked away honing and perfecting and writing and preening new songs. we've played a couple live already in the last few shows so it's exciting to be working towards a whole new record. new songs, new album, new myspace, keep checkin' in. oh! and we have some treats lined up for you which i will keep you posted on. aural delicacies i tell you!

clean up, crash down, wipe out :-)

A whole year of non-bloggery is not a good thing. Keeping us all waiting like that.....Tut, tut! Shame on you, but I did manage to catch another of your splendid live performances earlier in the year.....an I agree. Agent Orange are sick! It's nice to hear that you've not dropped off the face of the earth and that new music will be forthcoming soon(ish). Can't wait.
