Hey,

We've learned something in Montreal.  Always get clear directions and make sure you know where you are going.  We keep getting lost everytime we try to go anywhere.  We ended up heading to the US right over the Champlain bridge on our way to downtown.  Got turned around between our friend Lisa's place and the venue.  Then we got entirely mixed up on the drive home.

Last night we played in Montreal at a club called Confessional.  It was pretty swanky for Jay Spectre, well at least compared to the last time we played in Montreal.  Despite its external debonair style there were some pretty hilarious details that brought it all back down to the Earth.  Namely, the doors on the washrooms.  A busty nun with low cut scandalous cloistre garb and a picture of John Paul II on the toilet....holding a hockey stick.

We played a quick first set of mostly originals before we let some more artists take the stage.  At some point we all learn that a bucket of 5 little Boris beers is only $15.  Soon we are ordering beers by the bucket full, literally.  Let's just say our second set was not quite the blistering display of talent normally associated with a Jay Spectre set.  Maybe that's the second thing we learned.  Just because beer is cheap doesn't mean you should drink as much as you can.  Also, the hangover is just as real coming from a little bottle than a big one.

Now for the seven hour drive to Edmunston.
