We just wrapped up our East Coast August dates in St. Jean Port Joli QC and ....Edmundston.. ..NB..... Both of the shows were so much fun and in my simple opinion a smashing success.

The first night in St-Jean we played at a Yacht club that was backed by the St- Laurent and some mountains. It was beautiful to say the least and quickly filled with people. We played a show that is apart of their Thursday night summer series that runs from June to Oct. People from all over the area come to see the music and enjoy the night life which for one day a week becomes (from what I was told) very vibrant.

The crowd was very enthusiastic and it didn't take long for a dance party to break out. It all started with a VERY intoxicated lady who didn't speak a lick of English. She opened up the door and before we knew it a group of middle aged partiers where tearing it up in front of us. When the show was done the owner asked us to come back and close the series in Oct. We happily agreed.

The rest of the night was an absolute blast and will go down in Jay Spectre lore. Unfortunately you will have to wait for the tell all biography to find out more.. (Hits shelves in Sept 2020 after lead singer takes a turn for the worst in a yet to unfold tragedy)

We made the two hour trip to NB the following day and Eric owner of Le Deck in Edmundston immediately made us feel at home. He put us up in a beautiful B&B owned by the lovely and talented Sylvie. MOST COMFORTABLE BED I HAVE EVER SLEPT IN!!! Oh and during the set she sang Billy jean with us. Amazing voice!

We played the show and there was a great turn out. During our first break I was talking to a local and he said to have the crowd clapping was a great accomplishment. By set two (with the help of our good friends from the Lotus Bleu) a dance party broke out. By the end of the set there was a frenzy of intoxicated people tearing up the dance floor. Bam!

Both nights were so much fun and ended in not one but double encore's. Both nights we were asked back to return and both nights we mingled with some of
....Canada....'s finest people. I can't wait to do this again in Oct.

Thanks again to our good friends in particular the girls at Lotus Bleu who treat us like we were members of their family every time we play in Edmundston. I hope our paths cross again soon!
