The problem is the liberals have kept them down but using terms like expressed there, names like Uncle Tom just as the liberal women's groups tried to say Sarah Palin was not a real women because she doesn't kill babies. Minorities in America need to see that they are not alone if they are conservative as once they get use to seeing proud conservative minorities they too will start to shout from the hills about DNC oppression and the new chains of modern slavery. 	Andy Zeus Anderson Andy Anderson	Steele was brought in to unite the Far Right and the majority party moderate conservatives and like you I see less to appeal to the far right end of the party and he is a little soft spoken at a time when we need to rally the troops. I met Mr. Steel when I was a young County Vice Chairman and still serving on the Quartzsite Town council. Michael while soft spoken does have great plans on how to re-shape the image of the RNC and make it more inviting for minorities to get involved and shed their community shackles in favor of raising their conservative voice. One thing Steele does is make it impossible for the democraps to use their old battle cry about rich white men running the RNC. Steel is not white and is the most powerful person in the RNC and it's an elected position folks, that means the majority of committee members put him there and the vote was a landslide. The democrats will continue to try to call us a party of whites and racist but their arguement has zero founding. 	Andy Zeus Anderson Andy Anderson	Thanks Doc, seems like another time and place almost, it's been so long now. I was running the first La Paz county AZ primary campaign for John McCain that he lost to Bush, and was on top of the world meeting now 3 former Arizona governors including Napoliditzo, Jane Dee Hull, and Fife Symington. I was on good terms with Congressman JD Hayward and had a cell number to reach both at the drop of a dime in the payphone if needed. Had I stayed in politics who knows where I would be at this time. At the time though Mr. Steel was on a national tour promoting the Black Republican Caucus and attempting to raise awareness for the partiy of inclusion campaign we were running to get minorities involved. We were at a state committee meeting and it was actually one of McCain's aids that introduced us after Steele's speach. The talk lasted all of 15 minutes and related to how to not just reach minority voters but to also reach youths through the power of the Young Republicans Club. We also talked a bit about fundraising ideas and a couple of his sugesstions lead to increased funds for our county coffers that were a little weak. Needless to say I was impressed and can see a clear path as to why and how he got into his current position. 	♥†Jen♥† Conservative Butterfly	I actually talked to a black man during the election here on myspace, he said he was pro life, and secretly agreed with Palin, but when he came out and told his family they were so angry with him that they harrassed him daily to change his mind. He did end up voting for Obama, because his grandmother wanted to see a black man as president before she died, which is understandable. 	A1pha Wo1f	I enjoyed that, but I did flinch at his claim that "we the people put pressure on the South during the Civil War". He is incorrect on that point....that was a case of the government putting pressure on we the people. As any real student of history knows, it was the South fighting for freedom and the federal gov't stood in the way of it. Slavery is a separate issue, but has been whitewashed by the so-called "vicotors" to make it appear to have been all about slavery. In the Confederate army black men volunteered and fought alongside white men. The Union army conscripted black men and segregated them into separate units. They did not fight along side the white men in blue uniforms. The conservative movement of today bears much resemblance to the secessionist movement of the mid-nineteenth century. I am an American, but I am also a Confederate. Liberals cannot connect the two because they've been taught that being a Confederate is all about buying and selling human beings and dividing the nation. That is a false precept! Abraham Lincoln divided the nation just as surely in his day as Barack Obama is doing today. Since the Civil War ended the Federal Government has not stopped growing.  This country is nothing like our Fore Fathers foresaw... We have a system that is and has failed us.  Now we are on the brink of another civil war. Personally, I am all for the States Rights and would happily let the Liberals have their own states and Conservatives can liver in their own states.  Let them do whatever the fuck they want..
