Yeah! We just installed Vista on our first home built PC! Pretty fun stuff, everything went as smoothly as could be, It was amazing, I expected at least one error seeing as its Windows, but no, the PC started right up let us configure the boot drive then install Vista (Home Premium) without so much as a hiccup.

Talke about a high! We've been working on this for about a year now, collecting parts for the system one by one. We do still need one more hard drive to configure the RAID (this is to autmatically back up files to the second drive) then 3 more sticks of RAM (virtual memory) which will top us out at over 4GB. Betweeen that and Core 2 Duo AMD Athlon chip and Asus motherboard this PC will smoke!

If you are wondering about the Soup this is what we had for dinner afterwards sitting on the couch and patting ourselves on the back .  I think this will become our new after PC tradition! Heres the recipe:

Recipe:

1 Package of Ground Beef
1 Can Tomto Sauce (small can)
1 Potato (diced med sized)
1 Bell Pepper (diced med size)
1/2 Tsp Salt

Fry the ground beef then drain the grease.
Add a little more than half the can of tomato sauce and salt.
Add the Potatoes and Bell Peppers
Add 2 cups of water (this a soup so make sure theres enough to cook the taters and keep soupy consistancy)
Cook until Potatoes are tender, about 20mins

Viola! Have it with tortillas and eat in the same room with your new PC! Just dont get to close this after all SOUP

Nice!

I installed Vista some time ago, and I love it! I've also been building computers for over 10 years, but was also pleasantly surprised at how quick it installed and without any hiccups.

I made my famous Swiss Enchiladas today. ;)
