Capitalism Gone Wild

Showtime: Sunday, November 8, 2009, 9:00 to 11pm, Eastern time @

http://www.voltaradio.com/

After seeing Michael Moore’s new film Capitalism: A Love Story, this theme seems vital. We’ll cover the current state of corporate America, the backlash from easily-fooled ‘free-market’ groupies, and what lies ahead.

This show will also have an appropriate music playlist and plenty of humor.

more Reverend rantings in Comments-land

Randy Terry

Randy continues to incite violence as his way of competing with his fellow mullahs for fund-raising. He faced tough times after his pastor outed him for being a serial cheater with single and married 'rescue' groupies. Then his son outed himself as a gay male in Out magazine and both of his daughters gave birth out of wedlock. In Christian-Taliban circles, that is serious failure. Now he's in a lawsuit against a fellow violent theocrat for the name 'Operation Rescue.' When Randy leads unstable followers to bombings, shootings and other acts of terrorism, the money and groupies return to him. Rev. Bookburn - Radio Volta

woman charged with offering sex for world series tickets

Thank you worthless cops of Bensalem PA. You chose to disregard all violent crime and abuses in order to go after this non-criminal. How sick is that? It was great that she got the tickets after such craziness. Rev. Bookburn - Radio Volta

The cops of Bensalem PA are the lowlifes of this story. They chose to ignore all real crime to go after her. They should apologize to all crime victims during the time that they dedicated to waste on this case. Fortunately, she got the tickets. I like a happy ending. Rev. Bookburn - Radio Volta

Thank you Gail. Music has always been restricted by the Graham-types who have wanted it to be narrow and marketable in the most dull manner. The current technology allows for maximum independence and innovation. Humor is an essential ingredient. Frank Zappa moved worlds at a time when it was desperately needed. His influence continues to this day, in all genres of underground music. Rev. Bookburn - Radio Volta

Reagan, the Pope and Mickey Mouse were irrelevant to the fall of the wall. The overbloated military budgets, endless war in Afghanistan (while the US was helping al-Queda groups), and disregard for the common person, led to their implosion. In other words, they had policies very similar to Reagan and W. Bush. Pure ideologues will learn nothing from the great fall and remain true believers as our own 'free-market' destroyers topple down this nation. Rev. Bookburn - Radio Volta

The people who cluelessly bash Chavez are parrots of the Fox "News" propagandists. If Chavez did starve the people, provide the national resources for corporate America, and represent tyranny, there would be daily articles praising him and Dick 'Torture King' Cheney would have kissed his feet. When Chavez refused to be a part of Bush's 'free-trade' scam, he became a media boogeyman. He is an enormous improvement over the dictators and US stooges that have slaughtered and bled Central America for decades. Most of his opposition is from former elites who want unrestricted greed. We know how well that works for a nation. Thank you Sean Penn. Rev. Bookburn - Radio Volta

Promotional Excerpt for Eclectic Shock with host J-West including DJ Cindy and Reverend Bookburn 10.25.09 (the Reverend appeared why Jay was playing Come Together by The Beatles and told them the origin of the song. Jay asked that it be told again on the show. The song was written by John Lennon for the Timothy Leary for Governor of California campaign in 1969. The recorded part of this show follows that discussion)
