Getting asked the same questions over and over gives me a bit of a headache, so, to clear the air - here are some things you should know....
1. What I do (or rather, "don't" do): *I don't shoot "cutesy" photos - families, children, maternity, etc. If you want something different (i.e. snooty editorial family photots, kids in suits w/ pipes & smug looks, underwater maternity, etc) then I'm your girl. Just don't ask me if I'll "take cute pictures of your kids". Eesh. *I also do weddings & bridals. Again - no "cutesy" business. *I include free consultation (you don't even have to book a shoot for this, honestly). *I will not give you all the photos that were taken. It's called "editing" for a reason. If you were writing a book, you wouldn't keep every word, sentence, or page that didn't fit. It's the same idea..
2. Rates: Rates start at $175 for an hour of shooting and go from there. The beginning $175 includes up to 2 looks, 5 edits (of my choosing), and hi-res images (suitable for printing) on a disc.
My portfolio building package is $425. Band promos start at $200 Bridals start at $250, and wedding packages at $950 I also do test shoots for $65.
Packages are flexible per your needs. Email me for a detailed pricelist.
3. TF TF is done by my discretion...i.e. I'll contact you. My head literally explodes when the first thing someone asks is if I'll do TF. This is my source of income...this is how I EAT. Yes, I have a bit of extra fat storage, but that can't last me forever...
So in a nutshell, no TF if you: *ask me to shoot TF without even asking about rates...or anything else *haven't worked with me previously (paid) *have an attitude *are a newer model with little experience (I am a perfectionist. I have to direct everyone a bit, the amount it takes for a new model is far too much to be free.)
What is my TF? *NO travel *I don't spend money. *I retain rights. Yes, you can use them for a port...but I can use them for ANYTHING...and they will have a watermark. *TFP or TFCD....one or the other, not both (unless you pay). You either get prints, or web-worthy files.
In my honest opinion, TF isn't worth it. I can't put the same amount of work/effort into a TF shoot, I can't afford it. The end product is something I'm not happy with, and you're probably not either...so what's the point?
:)
