the plugs home studio, or what i see every time i wake up
Hey peeps so far I’ve been stuck in my room desperately
trying to come up with “a new sound”, or at least something that progresses on
from where we were with our last release. After much disappointment and many
projects taking a trip to the mac trash bin, I think we are about to settle on
five tracks that we’re going to wack out (erm was that a euphamism) as an ep as
soon as we can. It’s looking likely that this may be early next year though. It
takes time to put this things together on the industry front, and nobody,
except Cliff Richard, dares to release anything in December, as it’ll get
swallowed up in the Christmas quagmire of pop culture nostalgia quicker then
Divine Brown did Hugh Grant (what!!!!).
....
We’re still working towards an album but just want to wait
before we do. As much as we love doing stuff in our bedrooms, having access to
a studio would really see our sound expand into cinemascope territory (and I
don’t mean awful delay drenched stadium pop, I mean we might actually be able
to spend time recording and not worry about the neighbours).
a few people have asked what pedals i use; here they are in all their glory

We’ve put up a demo of a tune called Above all else. It’s
not going to be part of the five track ep release, but it’s an avenue we’re
exploring and I thought it’d be cool to let people have a bit of a listen. We
recorded it all in my bedroom hence the slight roughness, but it adds to the
charm right…erm.
....
Soooo, we’re also getting ready to move a lot of our
activity away from myspace, starting with a proper website. One of the features
we’re thinking of putting up is a ringtones section. Basically I did a couple
of ring tones and message alerts for friends and people always ask
where they got em from so I thought I’d make a bunch for people to download.
Would you download and use them if we did (they'd be shot mp3 files)? They wont be songs we've released, but
they will be completely knew pieces of music. We may even do custom ones for
people if they are nice? Does that sound like something worth doing? Please
comment.
