General update for the Das Puppets film project:

I have been busy creating some fluxus films that are performance art I call the Bubbles Piece. Kathleen Gregory performed the very first one in a cat mask. This film of Kathleen as Mama Baer will appear in the final film version of Das Puppets.  Kathleen is currently living in her home state of New Jersey where she tells me she has recently completed three film projects. Kathleen also writes to say she hopes to be back living here in California by the end of the summer.

I have heard from Kommissar Hjuler und Mama Baer who tell me they are very much looking forward to the completion of our little art film Das Puppets. They have some big news of their own as they were just signed to a record label with the firm Psych.KG of Germany.

I have three new short fluxus art films that have just been added to my youtube page. You probably know the two gals Anne Wilson and Lee S. Whitaker from Midnight Insanity they appear in Bubbles Piece numbers 6, and 8. Anne shows us her wonderful talent as a ballerina blowing bubbles, and Lee is just sexy as all hell. Lee plays Sneaky Pete in Das Puppets. While Jack Ritchie who appears in Bubbles Piece number 7 you may know better as The FUZZ Director from our film Das Puppets. Jack is also the host of the television program the Darkest Hours and you can see his new Fangoria convention episode online now at:

Although Anne Wilson is not apart of our film parse I have wanted to work with her for some time and was delighted that she agreed to appear as the Ballet dancer in  tutu and toe shoes. The fluxus films are made with one long shot no cuts or editing from beginning to end. The camera is hand held and the motion is an intentional part of the moment of the film experiance. You see what the camera man saw in person and up close from his point of view. Flux means to flow and what is captured in these short films are slices of life that happen only once then they were lost forever in the temporal flow but fortunately we have these memories in black and white to hold onto and cherish forever can't you just see it? Whoo ooh ooohhh....

The look and the feel of No.8, the ballerina film, was inspired by the paintings of Edgar Degas and Anne's performance truly is magical.
