Hello, true believers. 

Last the Smacks! checked we only played a couple of shows in Louisville in 2007 after playing far too many shows starting late ’05 and continuing throughtout ’06, touring and promoting the "Ejaculations" album.  Last we checked it was 2008.  Last we checked 2008 means ten years of the fucking modern Smacks!’s hackin’ & whackin’ & smackin’. 

April, come if you will:

Thursday the 3rd in Lexington at Buster’s with Tight Leather and NEC. 

Friday the 4th in Louisville at the Rudyard Kipling with Le Techon Pussies (from Cinci, OH) and Punk Bunny (from Los Angeles). 

And then on Saturday the 5th in Newport, KY/Cinci (Newport’s just across the river, in case ya didn’t know) at the Southgate House, again with the Pussies/Bunnies but more expanded as part of the "Freakfest." 

These upcoming shows are a little taste of things to come.  The last round of shows before we steer towards finsishing the new album, tentatively titled "Finger, Finger!," with our distinguished gentlemen of sound, magnetic tape, and digital tweekery, Sir Paul Puckett.  After which we will be hitting the world stage with Thad Watson on bass guitar, shaking up the two man approach, expanding ourselves into a power trio & celebrating ten years of our loutish ways proper, with a new rekkid that’ll confound any expectations of our "sound." 

Yes, we’ll be playing some old standards on this weekend’s "micro-tour", but also laying out some new tunes that haven’t been worn out or even necessarily played live before.

See the Smacks! for the first time for the last time.
