New Jersey's powerpop saviors Cash Cash have hit AOL Radio’s most requested list. The station, which is 100% programmed by music fans, announced Cash Cash’s hit “Party In Your Bedroom” among the top ten songs for July 21st. Over 31,000 requests poured in via Twitter—which tallies results over a seven-hour (12 pm ET - 7 pm ET) period—and a majority of them proved that Cash Cash are indeed the people’s choice.
The New Jersey natives are spreading the wealth on the road throughout the summer, bringing infectious hooks, three-part harmonies, and surprise acoustic performances for their ever-growing fanbase.

“I never thought I’d be in Oklahoma with a crowd of kids singing our song,” says vocalist Jean Paul Makhlouf, in awe over the popularity they have received on their current tour. “It’s a feeling you can’t describe.”
Jean Paul and his bandmates (Alex Makhlouf—keyboards/programming, Samuel Frisch—vocals/ bass and Anthony Villacari—drums) seamlessly tap into 70s funk, 80s anthem pop and 90s mellow alternative all at once. Their mission, described perfectly by Jean Paul, is to “bring back some of that 70s funk guitar, mixed in with the life and fun of the 80s.”
The formula has the press bopping their heads along with fans.
AbsolutePunk.net calls Cash Cash’s album “outstanding” and hails, “For those who are looking for a new band that writes big hits, or for those nostalgic for the days when it was cool to wear your sunglasses at night, this band will deliver, without disappointment, exactly what you're looking for… you'll find yourself singing hours after you've finished listening to the record.”

Be on the lookout for Cash Cash’s “Party In Your Bedroom” video in the next installment of mtvU’s THE FRESHMEN. The show spotlights emerging artists on air and online, with the chance for one of the videos to get an automatic add into rotation on the channel the following week.
