So yesterday I'm sitting in my new loft in L.A. working on some music and I get a call from my buddy Dean. He asks me if I want to go backstage with him at the Motley press conference and show. Just a typical Tuesday for him I guess. So of course I grab my shit and go down there. As soon as we walk up, who do I see but the lovely Jolene from KISW. After hugs and high fives we go inside to check it out. Meanwhile Jolene is live on the air announcing that yours truly is in the house. funny. They answered some questions and played a few songs. The show was killer and they sounded great, better than I expected. The venue was really small and intimate. Lots of press, industry folks and radio contest winners. So after we go backstage and hang out for a while. All the singers from the bands playing Crue-fest were there too. They sang on one song. Jacoby from Papa Roach was nice enough to remember me from a show we played together a while back, pretty cool. All in all it was an amazing spur of the moment afternoon that I won't soon forget. I miss you all in Seattle, but I know some of you are coming for the show we are playing with Steel Panther (formerly Metal Skool) down here on April 28th.
