We are proud to announce that Falling Up's own slave/guitarist Daniel Huddleston has released a full-length record completely independently. His band's name is called
Of Violence and Vanity.
The record To Trust a Traitor was written 3 years ago. Here's the story..
With absolutely no recording budget, Daniel scrounged through every goodwill couch in hopes to find mics, cords, and pics.. He then received the help and slave-labor of Chris Eddie (guitarist of A Dream Too Late) to produce and record on his Mac laptop in a cold dark garage they had built together with their own furry bear hands. After that was all accomplished, they sent the tracks to Falling Up primate Josh Shroy for some edit work and mixing on his roomate's satanic PC, while listening through his hand built speakers.
That is what i call a honest-indie-music-lovers dream rock record! It's all organic and ready for love, so lend him your ear, comment, and support him by buying his record and voting for him on...
You know what would be fun to see??? ...a record like this to make the charts so he can actually have a budget to record his next record at a real studio!!!! ..but it's all up to the people to help and support. This has no record label financially backing it up..that's kind of the beauty of this project. It's all in the hands of the music lovers....or Dan lovers..wherever they exist.
