Hey Dreamers,

Sorry we've been so quiet recently.  Let's catch up... 

Our little studio in downtown Kansas City has been alive with new songs for almost a year now.  Chord progressions awaiting melodies, melodies awaiting words, little post-its of inspiration...just waiting for a home. 

As we were writing without any thought towards what we were writing for, we got a little email from our friend and producer Ric Hordinski, inviting us back out to Cincinnati to see if we could recreate a little of the magic from Butterfly Sketches.  The timing was perfect, so we packed up some songs that felt ready and headed out there in August.  We're not sure what exactly we're recording right now - a new album, a free digital sampler, or maybe just a documenting of where we are as band - but I suspect those plans will take shape later.  We've been a plan-focused band for some time now, and right now, we just want to make music.   

Of course, the studio can't keep us too far away from the road, so we're going to head out in October for a few casual shows in our favorite Midwestern cities.  Please check out the dates below.  And for all of you outside the Midwest, your requests mean the world to us and we promise we'll be your way again soon.

Ever, ever beautiful.  I will be at the Oct. 9th show, with something I've owed you for awhile.  You know what I mean.  If you guys aren't ducking out of town right afterwards, I'm playing a show at a bar not too terribly far away, in Des Moines, later that night.  I'd love you to hear what you've helped create.

I am doing well.  I've been getting to work on music a lot, pretty much swimming in it, and it's been wonderful. 

I'm playing later that night, perhaps 9:30pm, down at Orlando's, on Park Ave.  It would be amazing, indeed, if you guys could come.  Not sure if you were planning to stay in town that night or head on towards Dubuque, but it would be extremely amazing to have you hear me play after all this time.

Lovely.  Not sure what the schedule is yet, but I can't think of anything better than following our show with your show. :)
