Current mood:antsy
Category: Parties and Nightlife
Last week felt like a feral pop frenzy with getting back from a hectic but brilliant trip to Germany late one night and two days later attending a fantastic show headlined by Tender Trap and getting to play songs before and between the bands. Inspired by probably the best indiepop disco I've danced all night in (DJed by Roque [Cloudberry Records], Matthew [Big Pink Cake] and Jörg [Herr of Hamburg and the Mind the Gap mailorder] ), these are the songs I played between this awesome foursome of bands. Dazzling Daniel [So Tough! So Cute!] took over before Tender Trap came on.

Then on Sunday, I played some gentle autumnal pop tunes at the Hangover Lounge. I really enjoyed this because DJing is usually about trying to get people to dance. Here I could play sweet romantic songs quietly without such worry. I even played 3 Chicago bands (Very Truly Yours, Fireflies, Vitesse) which is also a rare activity! I hope to do something like this again. Thanks for having me, Hangover Lounge crew!
