Since October 2008 we have recorded our debut EP 'The Map' which was both an enjoyable and exhausting process. We are really happy with the results and we must say a quick thanks to Gareth Young for his help with the recording. The EP has been 'Record of the Week' on David White's show on Radio Cornwall and has been played extensively on The Source FM and St Austell Community Radio. We've also received some great comments from Lee Trewhela of the West Briton and Go2 magazine.

We launched the EP on April 18th at Miss Peapods in Penryn and it was a great night. Thanks to all who came and watched and cheered and danced. Also we need to say thank you to those who helped us on the night: Emily Maughan and Matt Exelby who provided wonderful support; Laura and Emma Barnes for working on the door; Carey and his assistant for the sound; John Cocks for MCing and the staff of Peapod's for dealing with a large crowd and managing to keep smiles on their faces!

Around Christmas and by mutual agreement, Ian left us. Although this was very sad for us all at the time, we are still great friends and wish him all the best with his solo project Otto's Dreams. Ian's contribution to All The Fires will never be forgotten.

This left us needing at least one new member, and as of this week we are very pleased to welcome Danny Konik and Stu Clay to the Fires' fold. Stu is an accomplished bassist who has played with Joe Francis and The Ammunition and several other local bands. Danny will be making a new and exciting contribution on lead electric guitar and lap steel. He comes to us after playing with Elm and The Minions of Geoffrey. As both Stu and Danny are singer-songwriters in their own right, you can expect to hear a few new songs and new influences in the coming months.

We are very excited about our new line-up and can't wait for our next peformance on June 12th at The Princess Pavilions, where we will be supporting Lioness. If you can't make it to that one, we'll be playing quite a few gigs over the summer both at venues in the South West and some further afield.
