Hi there,

Welcome to another missive from high atop the Bacchuspere, where we still soak our bubblegum in bourbon, the old-fashioned way.

Well, after a period of rest there is quite a bit happening in the wonderful world of WINECHUGGERS. Let's see, there's a new record, a couple of shows coming up, and a couple of website developments to talk about. So let's just cut to the biz and see what's cracking.

I. Yay! New Winechuggers Album Released At Last!!!
First of all, I'm really happy to report that after a long and circuitous odyssey, the new Winechuggers album is out at last. It's called "Grand Rapids" and it comes to you courtesy of the good people at The Arena Rock Recording Company. Damn, it sure feels good that this thing is out at last. Loads of thanks to everyone who was involved with the release of the record, especially Jeb Banner, Carl Saff, and Greg Glover, all of whom have done so much to help this record see the light of day.

The CD is available from Amazon, Audio Lunchbox, and direct from Arena Rock (who will include a FREE label sampler with each purchase), among others. Here's a few links:

II. Yay! Winechuggers Come Alive!!!
To celebrate the release, we'll be doing a couple of shows in San Francisco! If you can't make it to one, come to the other! Or get your maximum entertainment value by coming to both!! Bring a friend or make a new one at the show.

First up is a night at the Argus Lounge next Wednesday, December 7, with the delightful Octomutt. If you haven't been to the Argus Lounge yet, it's a really cool little place. We shall see if we'll be able to fit all four of us on their itty-bitty stage. The Argus Lounge is conveniently located at 3187 Mission (at Valencia) in San Francisco. Visit them online at http://www.arguslounge.com/

We're also set to play again at the swell Make Out Room on Thursday January 5th, with The Bel Hevis (I've not heard them, but their songs sound really good - check out their MySpace page). Come ring in the new year with us (well, the fifth day of the new year at least) and take off work the next day. Tell your boss we said it was okay. The Make-Out Room is located at 3225 22nd Street in San Francisco's Mission District (between Valencia and Mission). Enter their digital domain at:

III. Yay! Ye Olde Winechuggers On The World Wide Web!!!
Okay, so we haven't exactly been a powerhouse on the internet. But we're working on it. We have a website cooking that will have all the stuff you would expect. It is looking good and we hope to have it up on the web in the next month or so. In the meantime, feast your eyes on this updated page on MySpace. It's pretty spartan but it's a start. You can listen to a few of the songs on the new album (peep them with your ears!) and see my sad little blog.

Anyway, there's more web-based goodness over at the Arena Rock Recording Company website. Read, look, listen! If it sounds good to you, there's even a handy dandy online store for all your Winechuggers album purchase needs! Viola:

So that's it for now -- we hope to see you San Franciscans (and Bay Area people) at one of our upcoming shows, we hope you will visit us on the internerd, and we hope you'll like our record. As always, thanks for your time, patience, and patronage. Until next time, keep one foot in the gutter and one fist in the gold!

Excelsior,
 Bill
