This idea has been in the pipeline for awhile but i'm excited to finally have all the details for you... read on and persevere to the end :)

This Thursday 27th August we will be performing our first A/V set for ISEA 2009 [Inter-Society for the Electronic Arts].

The Symposium began in 1990 and has been held in many cities across the world and is an international nonprofit organization fostering interdisciplinary academic discourse and exchange among culturally diverse organizations and individuals working with art, science and emerging technologies.

The PS2 Gallery has initiated OUTSIDE ISEA which will be a program of events inside a freight container outside the Waterfront Hall during the symposium which takes place inside the Waterfront 26th-29th August.

Belfast based C-13 Collective is curating the program for the container.

C-13 are an ensemble of sound artists, musicians, programmers, animators, architects, visual artists, photographers and filmmakers. The group was founded in 2009 and operate from Belfast, Northern Ireland. Their collaborative practice challenges traditional media archetypes and explores the tensions between site, medium, artist and audience.

The program for the container consists of 20 artists over 4 days and will begin on Wednesday 26th until Saturday 29th, 12pm until 10pm except Thursday and Saturday where events will go on later and is quite an exciting line-up so you should definitely check it all out, ranging from video installation to walk in dream machine, to interactive live drawing and performance art.

SO.

finally back to us. Heliopause will be performing a special A/V set within the container on Thursday 27th August at 10:45pm.
It is FREE!.

We have played many a strange venue but this has got to be the oddest yet, and will be the first tim we have integrated visuals into our set.

We will perform a Heliopause half n/ half. Not quite full band, not quite fully acoustic and will select a range of songs of our forthcoming album and present unique original visuals for each song.

There will also be a selection of cd's & artwork for sale.

I hope you can make it down as it is a unique event and also one of the very last gigs before 2/3rds of Heliopause migrate to Brighton...

... the end?

... a pause in the heliopause? ...

... far from it ;)
