Current mood:  aggravated
I've been running this myspace page for Julie for almost four years.  During this time I can honestly say that we've met some lovely people because of it, and yes we have made sales of concert tickets and CDs because of it.

But ...

Am I the only one fed up with the continued bugs and the "improvements" to the user interface that lead me to spend way too much time maintaining something that, at the end of the day, only provides information that is already available on Julie's main website (www.julieellison.co.uk)?

Isn't there more to life?

So ...

Do I put it into a cyberspace parking lot?  Is it time to throw in a few mothballs and close the door on it?

Or am I just being grumpy today?

Speak out, and soon!  I may not be here to hear for very long ...

Myspace is slow & chuggy, it's a pain in the butt, facebook is probably better & more popular & YES, you are being grumpy :P

However, it does serve a purpose, non?

Myspace is trying to become more like Facebook, which is really a mistake as, for music at least, Myspace blows Facebook's doors off. These changes are hugely annoying and make Myspace buggy, making computers far more frustrating than they usually are. Still, a lot of music fans still use Myspace to find out about new music, so mothballing Julie's isn't, imvho, a great idea. Her music is too good to remain unknown. What about enlisting some volunteers to help with the page? If you want any help, I'd be happy to do so.

Thanks for the comments guys, and for your offer of help Dave.  That was very kind of you.

It's interesting that friend requests have completely dried up since I posted this blog.  Does that mean myspace has broken again, or do folks really read this stuff before posting a friend request There I was thinking that I was talking to 'bots' all day!

Grumpy levels are reducing!!

Peace,
John

Just realised that the lack of friend requests was due to myspace deciding to change the account settings to disallow friend requests from bands ...

All this and YouTube foisted a new format on us, messing up the channel settings in the process ...

What a day!

Peace,
John.
