I was eating a pop-tart earlier this evening and I started to wonder what the internet had to say about them. I figured I could at least read the history of the pop-tart and possibly read some reviews to see if anyone else shared my affinity for these tasty little treats. After google search for "poptarts" and deciding I didn't want the biased opinion of the official Pop-tart site itself, I read the Wikipedia article. Two things were particularly interesting to me...
"In 1971, a cartoon character named Milton the Toaster was introduced to promote Pop-Tarts. The campaign ended when a commercial showed a child hugging the toaster, leading to complaints that children might imitate the commercial and burn themselves."
How fucking awesome is that? I mean, every time I see something happen in a commercial I definitely want to go out and do the same thing. I wish someone would make a commercial about a friendly stove top that children love to give high fives to.
"In 2001, the United States military dropped 2.4 million Pop-Tarts in Afghanistan during the United States War in Afghanistan."
What? What the fuck? Hello? Fucking POP-TARTS?

I really want this set
