It's Dagger Issue 7
Currently, we here at It's Dagger magazine are preparing issue number 7. It's still in the works right now, and I still stand by my stance that the issue will come out when I have enough entries from contributors to make it a spectacular piece of work.
With that said and done, here is the "them" for the next issue:
We're looking to go old school somewhat low-quality, washed-out photos early zine days. No big budgets, no fancy gimmicks, none of that mess. Just back to basics rock 'n' roll magazine. My idea was something akin to gathering fans of John Waters and Russ Meyer, locking them in a room with each other and an abundance of booze, and then turning their minds loose with paper and pen.
A sleazy rock 'n' roll attitude is what we're looking for in this issue. Not necessarily pornographic, but rough and perhaps a bit more obscene than what we're done in the past. I want pictures of bands, cars, motorcycles, girls in bikini's. Recently, I stumbled across a Suicide Girls photoshoot where they used the girls to remake a scene in photos of a basement fight from Fight Club. And while Suicide Girls is a bit silly sometimes, that attitude and thinking outside of the box is what we're going for. Cars, girls, guns, beer. That kinda stuff. Send us your hate, photos of funny signs from around town so we can mock the local business'/churchs, and don't forget your party pictures of you and your friends boozing it up. We also need tons of original artwork and articles about what you think. Go for nasty, go for funny, go for broke. That's the idea.
As always, It's Dagger can be contacted through this site or contributions of articles/photos/art/money can be sent to
Itsdagger@hotmail.com. Well, actually, just get in touch with me and hand me the money personally. The rest of it, just send it.
Thanks,
The Editor
