FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE MEDIA ALERT
Chilli finds "Dumb" dancers Solo project diagnosed 'Bi-Polar'
Atlanta, GA - Jun 06, 2008 After watching hundreds of video entries, Chilli (from TLC) found the 'dumb' dancers she was looking for. Chilli's "Dumb, Dumb, Dumb" Dance contest was launched on April 28th to coincide the release of her new single, "Dumb, Dumb, Dumb" .Fans were asked to create their individual interpretation of Chilli's new single "Dumb, Dumb, Dumb" and upload the final product, then send a link to youtube, myspace or via e-mail. Fans across the world, from New York to Belgium, uploaded videos of themselves dancing to "Dumb, Dumb, Dumb," hoping for the opportunity to meet and perform alongside Chilli. The pop star says she has enjoyed logging on to youtube and watching the dance routines. "I absolutely love it. I love when dancers just let go and get creative," she says. The online contest wrapped on Saturday, May 30th, with Chilli selecting two dancers that she felt best translated the vibe of the record. "There were so many videos that were great, but these two really captured the feel of the song," Chilli commented on the winning entries. Fred Swinton of Atlanta, GA and Howard "Deejay" Franklin of Willingboro, NJ beat out hundreds of would-be choreographers for an opportunity to join her on-stage during her upcoming promotional tour. "I'm looking forward to meeting both Fred and Deejay and performing with them," Chilli says. Dancers that may have missed the deadline need not worry; Chilli hasn't abandoned her search for three additional dance phenoms to join her on tour this summer. Instead of online submissions, dancers will be able to audition live in front of Chilli during promo dates. "I wanted the opportunity to interact with fans," she explained.
