Bands You Should Know and Love
Current mood: artistic
Category: Music

I decided to put together a new weekly(ish) feature for you guys called Bands You Should Know and Love. These are the bands I think are musically relevant in some way or another.

This Week: The Mulligan Project

Music has heard plenty of new-school electronic music here lately courtesy of bands like Metro Station and Shiny Toy Guns. That said, there have been some really notable groups that combine electronica with other sounds like Colorado's Breathe Carolina (and all of their copycats), but Rob Mulligan brings something new to the table--electronic sounds and acoustic guitars with inciting vocals. It's not the upbeat style of anything you've likely heard that's allowed to have "electronic" in its description, but a unique, haunting brand of music all its own. Some of the songs are more guitar-driven, others more vocal-driven, and some more electronically-driven, but they're all something one-of-a-kind and really enjoyable to listen to.
