yeah, quick story, in the vey beginning of sean's Friendly Fire Tour, actually Dallas was his one of the 1st LIVE gigs! I had a chance to meet him before he went on, great guy, put on a show that proved your "spirit alive" question. As a friend and i were heading to the show i mean a downpour of rain and lightning overwhelmed us to the point where my buddy said man, i am turning around (we were coming from ft. worth to dallas and we still had a good 20 miles) I demanded to forge ahead and literally within 5 miles of diving 5-10 mph, no vision, the skies broke to the east and "instantly got completely clear"?? Never seen anything like it! I never even thought that sean and his plane or bus would NOT make it, he did, said he had the same experience as most of us in the audience, should he turn the PLANE around?? He gallantly told his pilot get there! Here, at this point it is already surreal for me to be in the same room with a decsendant of John, the one we saw waving to camera's in John's lap in IMAGINE!! Listen, I brought a camera, where it was posted to my dismay "NO CAMERA's ALLOWED", I had 24 shots and i will be damn if ANYONE was gonna stop me! Here is where John comes in spirituallly! I get "feelings/vibes" at times about things, (no, i'm perfectly sane) but on the 11th shot i had aised the camera and "JOHN" grabbed my right shoulder and i felt an ENERGY surge thru me that wasn't scary, it's just i looked behind me immediatlly thinking it was some bouncer wanting to take my camera! There was NEVER anyone in physical form behind me! For i had to look b4 each shot! I pulled the camera back up and what came out of the picture, in the picture is i know John in spirit form watching over sean's 1st show! I tried to post it here but can't?? Go to my myspace and i will put it in it's own "Album" and let you draw your own conclusions?? No smoke, no flash bulbs, lights anove me, and just the feeling b4 on my shoulder and jolt thru my entire body, leads me to believe it! You will notice Sean looking up at it?? Freakin Weird!! My space is private, just ask to be a friend, i will add ya, please mention john lennon fan and u are ADDED IMMEDIATLY! A friend of this sight is a friend of mine!! Love these guys/girls on this page!! by the way, I support RANDOM68 immensly, incredible MUSIC!

Veeery interesting!

I've some familiarity with Joseph Campbell and his musings on myths; also, as someone interested in development/evolution of the human vehicle (geez, it's getting deep in here), I've learned that archetypes are instrumental in understanding our place in the universe. Similarly, as an actor, what we deal with every day is archetypes, and we seek to portray them because they are part of the "human drama" which fascinates and compels us. If we can shed life on the human condition, we feel gratified as artists.

I'm thinking that John embodying the archetype of peacemaker is as big as myth and legend can get in our human terms, and the more human failings only add to that because it helps us identify with him in some fashion. He was flawed, but also grand, as we all have the potential to be. I also believe souls accept roles to play out on this plane, and if we're listening to our better natures we have the capacity to make a great difference, more often than not beyond our scope of literal awareness.

I've been seeing John more as the archetype, beyond the human vehicle, because I think that was the game all along. He was fortunate to have managed to be able to accomplish it in a short human life, with all the grand drama and the emotional attachment he created in his fans, because in some manner his was an exemplary life, warts and all.

So the fact that these new pieces sound familiar -- is there anything new under the sun, really?! -- are indicative that the beat goes on. In a sense, I think of John even being anonymous in some fashion, because I think in the bigger sense he was "just a conduit" (a quote borrowed from a comic that I've liked to use for so long I can't remember where I got it -- I believe it was George Carlin's "Class Clown" album back in the '70s).

In a nutshell, I think that's what it's all about, peoples! Keep on keepin' on.

As a 10 year old in new York City,we lost John F. Kennedy but soon found John,Paul,George,and Ringo..of course John's spirit is still with us,he believed in spirits,Brian Jones' spirit is still with us also,you will see many real life mentions of John in MY life on my page. I wouldnt be a musician if it hadnt been for him.
