Hey people, it's been a while I know, since the last Noble Brats update,
Mostly because we really were very busy lately, but I'll admit it, it's also cause we're a little lazy when it comes to updates J but let me assure you, from now on, we're gonna be updating our website, Myspace and Facebook on a daily basis.
Well, where to begin…
I'll try to do this thing as chronologically as possible
1/4/09 – we were on the Leon Feldman show @ 102FM!!
Had a great time, Leon played songs from our debut album which is coming out in about a month, we talked about our east-coast tour last year and played live acoustic versions of Mercury and 567!!
6/4/09 – interview for www.nrg.co.il – I (Yaniv) went to give the interview by myself because they said they don't need all of us there, although Elior said he'll get there…..well, stoners will be stoners J he called be an hour and 9 minutes into the interview to ask me if I need him to come, the interview was an hour and 10 minutes J you do the math… anyway, the interview was with Lihi from NRG, and was really nice, good questions, and genuine interest, plus she writes really REALLY well, I was actually impressed. I will add this though, I wasn't quite…hmmm…shall we say lucid, at the time of the interview, so I didn't really remember everything we talked about right after the interview, but I remembered everything when I read the article, and it's an article I'm proud of, so, thank you LIHI J
11/4/09 – we were on the Jackie Shraga ("Nekudat Hajack") show @ 102FM!!
Got totally drunk (so did Jackie J lots of laughs, including a prank call to Elior-our drummer-who couldn't make it to the show for work reasons, only we discovered (live on the radio) that he's at home playing with his dog J later he said he was just too bummed out about the fact that they told us last minute that we won't be able to play a full electric show that night, which was what we were told by our PR people we were gonna do on the show, so…. What can you do, it was a misunderstanding between our PR and 102FM. Still it was an awesome night and Jackie was great, he played all the songs from our soon-to-be-released debut album, and partied with us for an hour!! J not to mention the fact that people called the show about tickets for our gig on the 13th, which we gave them for half price plus a copy of our single CD!!!
12/4/09 – we were @ 106FM (Kol-Hacampus) with Udi Niv. Now, I don’t know about you, but waking up at 11 in the morning is not an easy thing to do for us, but hey, for a radio interview… JUdi's a great guy and we've known him for quite a while now, he interviewed us a while ago, for the 106FM website, came to a rehearsal, and we had a blast. Anyway, Udi played songs from our debut album as well as songs by artists we like (Placebo, and songs from the 'Twilight' movie soundtrack, which was one of the best things I've heard this year), he asked us about our east-coast tour, and we played an acoustic version of 'Mercury', one of our newer songs (not on the album). And again, people called the studio for tickets!! We kept going out for cigarette breaks, but it was funny J had an awesome time! We love you UDI.
13/4/09 – gig @ the Barzilay Club, TLV. Sound-check was at 19:00 and went great, we played like 3 totally new songs for the first time, and although the show was AWSOME and we had a great set and lots of fun and awesome feedbacks from our fans, we expected more than 50 people to come to the show. We handed out lots of flyers and put up posters and with all the people that called the radio shows we were on asking for tickets… well, it was a bit disappointing. We're thinking about getting a new 'regular' gig place, people don't seem to react so well to the Barzilay, I mean don't get me wrong, the interior of the place and the stage and facilities are AMAZING, but I guess it's more well known as an electro club, 'party nights' etc, and maybe it's location is a bit deterring for some (especially younger rockers/rock chicks) I don't know….we'll see. We did get great photos from that show J by the super talented Avihay Levi and Dima Vazinovich, thanks guys J AWSOME PICS. And I can tell you this; that was the last show we don't capture on video!! From now on there's gonna be someone recording our shows for posterity J
13/4/09 – article on nrg.co.il (Lihi Lazlo) is online. And if you want to read it (and comment!!)
You can get to it here: http://www.nrg.co.il/online/47/ART1/878/113.html
15/4/09 – article about show @ 'Barzilay' (by Shiran Mostovoy) is online on the 106FM website. You can read it here: http://www.106fm.co.il/#post/9907
(and again, comment people) J we quite liked the article, and although there were one or two comments that made us raise an eyebrow as to where such ignorance to music and such assurance at for the proper hairstyle for rock comes from, it was all forgotten when in the middle of reading the article, we got a phone call from channel 24 asking us to come over and play in the transparent studio J which was….well.. FUCKIN' ROCKIN' J by the way, the same article (in minor editing changes) can also be found here: http://www.nrg.co.il/online/47/ART1/879/366.html
16/4/09 – Noble Brats wins 4th place in 'Battle of the Bands' on indieshows.net.
.. ..
Hmmm, I think I'll leave it here for now, at least until I get the sensation back in my fingers J but I promise to keep you updated on a daily basis from now on (that way you know everything that's going on with us Noble Brats in 'real time' and it also means I won't have to sit and write for an hour and a half J… my brain is meeeeeeeeelting…
